BankFirst continues donation program to DeSoto Arts Council

Mar 4, 2025- A DeSoto County bank is continuing its program to donate to local nonprofits, as its employees were encouraged to nominate local nonprofit programs the bank could provide a $1,000 donation to. 

BankFirst provided a recent donation of $1,000 to the DeSoto Arts Council, as nominated by Jenny Crum of BankFirst.

The DeSoto Arts Council (DAC) is a nonprofit organization based in Hernando and is dedicated to integrating art into daily life and fostering community support for the arts. Established in 1999, the council celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024. 

The DAC’s mission centers on supporting local artists and nurturing a vibrant arts community. They achieve this through various programs and events.

Through its diverse programs and community involvement, the DeSoto Arts Council continues to enrich the cultural landscape of Hernando and DeSoto County, fostering a deep appreciation for the arts among residents and visitors alike.

BankFirst strives to offer donations to local nonprofits that employees nominate on a monthly basis.
