Yoder: Broken Pieces

What broken pieces are you carrying? Lay them at Jesus’ feet today.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you.”

Pause to pray for a hurt you’ve buried. Forgive someone who’s wronged you. Extend kindness to another “outcast” in your life.

Let’s commit to being one nation under God.

This is the third year for Light the Way to have a summer event in Olive Branch.

Life service, not lip service, gives evidence of a genuine encounter with God.

In these days of global tension, like those we see in the Middle East, let’s pray for our nation’s peace and wisdom for its leaders.

Jesus said that we should be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. That implies the need for wisdom and tact in bearing witness to Him.

He’s our solid foundation. He is the resurrection and the life.

The best that we can do is to receive these gracious gifts and out of gratitude to respond with faithful service.
