DFT announced tickets are now available for its production of ‘The Secret Garden.’ The theater’s promotional materials describe the show as “the magic, the music, and the story that reminds us all how to grow.”

Olive Branch will hold a Community Shred and Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 25 at the Olive Branch Police Department, Mayor Ken Adams announced. Shredding services by DeSoto Shred will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and residents may dispose of unwanted medications.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce said professional hockey is returning to the Mid-South with the Landers Center set to host games, and local leaders called the move an economic boost for DeSoto County.

Northwest Mississippi Community College said Dr. Michael Heindl was chosen as one of 23 community college leaders in the new cohort of the Aspen Presidents Fellowship.

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said the Easter Bunny visited several local businesses and will be at the chamber office Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to noon.
