The Southaven Chamber of Commerce said it will host a Star Wars–themed Par Wars: Golf & Games Tournament at Olive Branch Country Club, featuring golf, pickleball, a costume contest and networking opportunities.

The Olive Branch Police Department will offer shredding and medication disposal Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mayor Ken Adams said. DeSoto Shred will provide shredding and the city listed year-round drop-off sites.

The City of Olive Branch said DeSoto Shred provided on-site shredding at the Olive Branch Police Department and residents could drop off expired or unwanted prescription medications, the city said.

Gustafson Properties said it focuses on construction details most buyers never see, arguing those details are what make a home last. The company said it builds with “purpose, transparency and pride” and invited prospective clients to discuss new construction.

Hernando Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs will hold a lunch-and-learn on wealth management Thursday, May 7, the group’s website said. The session is aimed at professionals 45 and younger and will be presented by Williams, Pitts & Beard, PLLC.

Springfest concludes today with free admission before noon. Ticket prices for later in the day are listed, and carnival tickets are available for purchase.

Walk-On’s Southaven said it is hosting the “662 CORNHOLE FOR A CAUSE” tournament and a silent auction today at 1 p.m., with registration at 12:30 p.m., to benefit the Southaven Animal Shelter.
