Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is opening six recovery centers and seven survivor assistance sites to aid residents affected by January winter storm. Centers will operate starting April 27.

The Heindl Center says the U.S. Air Force Band’s Airmen of Note will perform a free concert Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. Free tickets are available via a QR code or the center’s website.

The Olive Branch Planning Commission approved an application for a new DeSoto County Schools Career Tech East campus to be built on Craft Road, city officials said. The project includes classrooms, athletic facilities and planned trail connections near the George Harrison Soccer Complex and Lick Creek Conservancy.

Producers announced that Zack Clark will portray Lieutenant Wright in a stage production of “The Secret Garden.” Clark wrote on Instagram that he is excited and grateful for the opportunity.

Northcentral Electric Cooperative restored power Saturday, Mayor Ken Adams and the City of Olive Branch said. The city had asked drivers to avoid Pleasant Hill Road to Davidson Road while traffic lights were out.
