Dream Center DeSoto Wings & Ribs Competition and Festival

Saturday, April 6, members of the community got to experience a unique event accompanied by amazing weather: DeSoto Wings & Ribs Competition and Festival. 

With free admission, the Olive Branch City Park was packed with families eager to indulge in great food, live music, and fun for the kids. Guests could become involved with the competition by signing up to be a people’s choice taster for $25. Additionally, hot and spicy food lovers could participate in the Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin Challenge for $15. All proceeds from this event benefited the Dream Center. 

Cruisin’ with The Arc also took place during the Wings & Ribs Competition and Festival, allowing families to check out awesome rides while the aroma of barbeque flooded the air. 

Winners of the Rib Cook Off included (starting with 10th place) Black Sheep, Bonnie and Swine, Heavenly Manna, Bald and Beard BBQ, Pit Crew 2, Outpost BBQ, Screamin’ Eagle BBQ, UPS in third, Canned Meats in second, and Eat My Meat in first place. 

Winners of the Traditional Wing Cook Off included The Meat Monkeys in third place, Breaking Bread in second, and Get U Sum in first. In the unique category, Eat my Meat placed third, Cooking with Cornbread placed second, and Get U Sum took home the first place trophy. Get U Sum also took home the People’s Choice award. 

Overall, the 2024 DeSoto Wheels and Wings fest brought a day full of memories, sizzling food, live music, and fun for the whole family, all while supporting a great cause.
