Earth Day and Hernando Farmers Market

Earth Day in DeSoto County promotes environmental awareness and community engagement.

The Hernando Farmers Market can offer unique incentives that other markets in the state may not qualify for.

Feb 26, 2025- The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce will host a workshop for farmers market managers, staff, volunteers

Mississippi Farmers Market Week was established to create awareness of local farmers markets

Each child who comes to the health fair will receive a free book and get a Power of Produce (POP) Buck worth $5.

Books and POP Bucks will be available on a first come, first serve basis to the first 100 children, starting at 10 a.m.

The Hernando market is right there with others, such as Charleston, S.C., West Palm Beach, Florida, and Nashville, Tenn.

The Hernando Farmers Market was honored at an awards gala at Lake Terrace Convention Center on April 11 in Hattiesburg.

A meeting for vendors to the Hernando Farmer Market is set for March 3.

Workshop to be held at Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum.
