DeSoto County government officials start new terms on Jan. 2.

Supervisors and aldermen will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 2.

New District Attorney is sworn into office.

Elected officials begin their term on Jan. 1.

Local basketball teams were busy in holiday classic and tournament action.

Club members along with other volunteers previously decorated a Christmas tree in the rotunda of the DeSoto County courthouse.

Several events were held in DeSoto County to celebrate the Christmas holiday season.

In addition to the club’s many horticultural projects, they also are involved with ongoing philanthropy projects

Treadway said the new office offers a number of advantages, including a more central location for the north and western part of the county.
