Safety remains a top priority, and the USACE-MVK has increased surveillance at the dam.

Arkabutla Lake Bald Eagle Survey

These surveys provide an opportunity for participants to assist in monitoring the status of Bald Eagle wintering populations and distribution data.

On May 1, rates for all Class A campgrounds with full hookups (water, sewer, electric) will increase.

These hunts will be open to youth 10 to 15 years of age. All youth hunters must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older

The MSU typically performs revetment operations during low-water months (July-December), when the Vicksburg gage is at 27’ and falling.

To be eligible for this hunt, individuals must possess a valid Mississippi hunting license.

Hunters will be drawn in a random order until all available spots are filled.

Lake Staff and additional personnel are vigilantly monitoring the situation at Arkabutla Dam for any changes.
