Yoder: Crooked Folds, Perfect Love

New lives mean change, and change is daunting. The unknown can paralyze us. But when it’s from the Lord, it’s also transformational.

The person in the twilight of life who is rallying, may even realize that they love more than they thought possible.

Our greatest help in making decisions is found in God.

All of us must deal with feelings of resentment and anger towards other people.

Days can’t be saved. They have to be redeemed by doing the most important things in them.

Paul said that contentment was to be prized.

There are many wonderful things in this life. Paul identified three of them–faith, hope, and love ( Cor. 13:13)

When you break it down, it is made up of specific actions. We must demonstrate love in specific things that we do.

It is true that in every job, every community, every home, and every church there are some good things, and we have to learn to concentrate on those.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Love bears all things” (1 Cor. 13:7). Another translates the phrase, “Love knows how to be silent.”
