The Southaven Chamber of Commerce office is closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day, and will reopen Tuesday during normal business hours.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office expressed sympathy for the family, friends and colleagues of Claiborne County Deputy Terrian Bailey, identified as having died in the line of duty on EOW Sept. 7, 2026.

Southaven Police Department is asking the public to be on the lookout for 14-year-old Freddie Thomas, who was last seen Sept. 4 near Rocky Creek Apartments, the department said.
