Goodwin PC Services joined the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce and was celebrated with a ribbon cutting last week, the chamber said. The Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce presented the ceremony.

Olive Branch officials recognized National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week to honor the city’s 911 dispatchers, who the city called the “first, first responders.” Mayor Ken Adams thanked the communications team for their service and dedication.

Northwest Mississippi Community College said it held a release event for the debut of Ranger Records at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts last Thursday, featuring performances by student and local acts.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce announced Chick-fil-A Southaven as the winner of its Best Easter Egg Hunt backdrop and thanked members who participated, the chamber said in a social media post.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce announced an upcoming Par Wars: Golf & Games Tournament at Olive Branch Country Club that will feature golf, pickleball and a Star Wars-themed costume contest. The chamber said proceeds will benefit the Southaven Chamber Foundation.

The LeaderSYP Conference, organized by Southaven Young Professionals, is offering sponsorship packages starting at $100 to fund student attendance and give businesses a chance to connect with young talent, organizers said.

DeSoto County Government said dumpsters will be placed at multiple county locations April 10-19 for a spring cleanup. A separate household hazardous waste collection is set for May 2 at the Landers Center.
