Tickets are sale for Northwest Soiree: A Garden Gala

Senatobia, Miss. (Jan. 14, 2026) — Tickets are now available for the Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation’s signature fundraising event, the Northwest Soiree: A Garden Gala, presented by Mini Systems. The celebration will be held April 18 at the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts.

Pop singer and acclaimed songwriter Dave Barnes will headline the evening with a live performance following the awards ceremony.

Barnes, who spent part of his early life in Mississippi, developed a deep appreciation for hip-hop, soul, blues and R&B before launching his songwriting career at Middle Tennessee State University. His work has since reached national audiences, including the hit “God Gave Me You,” which became a chart-topping success on Blake Shelton’s Red River Blue album. More than 100 artists have recorded Barnes’ songs, among them Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Dan + Shay, Carrie Underwood, NEEDTOBREATHE and Billy Currington.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dave Barnes and his band to Northwest for our Garden Gala,” said Patti Gordon, executive director of Institutional Advancement. “His Mississippi roots, incredible talent and meaningful lyrics make him the perfect headliner for an evening that celebrates the college’s vision of transforming students’ lives, enriching our communities and striving for excellence. Every ticket purchased helps open doors for our students and strengthens the legacy of Northwest.”

Two ticket options are available. A premium ticket includes a social hour and awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m., with formal attire requested. A standard ticket, which includes the performance only, begins at 8:30 p.m.
