Stump Speakin’ political event set for Saturday

There will be a lot of Republican politics spoken on Saturday, June 24 at an event to be held at Cedar Hill Farm near Hernando.

Owner Robert Foster, the former state legislator, candidate for governor and current candidate for DeSoto County Supervisor, has organized this Republican “Stump Speakin’ Event” at his farm, located at 8 Love Road, Hernando.

A large list of candidates will be given time to speak to those who come out, starting at 11 a.m. and expected to continue through to 2 p.m.

The featured speaker will not be on the local ballot, however, as Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) is expected to be there and address the crowd.

The candidates who will be there will range from Republicans running for state House, state Senate, county races, District Attorney, Sheriff, Public Service Commissioner, as well as state level races.

Each candidate will have five minutes to make their case on why they should be elected to office.

First District Congressman Trent Kelly (R-Mississippi) is also listed as making an appearance on Saturday.
