P.C. Campana Inc. announces expansion into Vicksburg

VICKSBURG, Miss. — P.C. Campana Inc., a prominent supplier to the steel industry, is establishing new operations at the Port of Vicksburg, Gov. Tate Reeves announced Thursday.

The project represents a $3.43 million corporate investment and is expected to create 17 new jobs over the next five years. The Ohio-based company, which produces alloyed cored wire and metal-cutting products, plans to relocate two manufacturing lines into existing facilities at the port over the next three years.

“Mississippi is proud to welcome P.C. Campana to Vicksburg,” Reeves said. “When companies choose Mississippi, they know they’re getting a world-class workforce and communities that are ready to help them succeed. Industrial investments like this sustain families for generations.”

The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is supporting the move through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program. According to MDA Executive Director Bill Cork, the decision highlights Mississippi’s competitive standing in the national steel sector.

“Our steel industry is among the top in the nation, and this new location gives the company a stronger presence in the marketplace,” Cork said.

P.C. Campana, a family-owned American company founded in 1969, views the Vicksburg expansion as a strategic gateway to the Southern United States.

“Expanding into Vicksburg allows us to better serve steelmakers across the southern United States with faster response times and reduced freight costs,” said P.C. Campana Inc. CEO Pat Campana Jr. “We are excited to become part of the Vicksburg community.”

Local officials praised the announcement as a testament to the region’s economic momentum. Warren County Board of Supervisors President Kelle Barfield noted that the arrival of a foundational industry supplier strengthens the county’s economic prospects, while Vicksburg Mayor Willis Thompson emphasized that the city is “open for business.”

The Port of Vicksburg remains a critical hub for industrial growth in the “River City,” offering logistical advantages for manufacturing and distribution.
