The Oxford Police Department has arrested a local man following the discovery of a hidden camera in the bathroom of a business.
On September 27, 2025, officers were called to the scene after a woman reported finding the device. Investigators later identified the suspect as 37-year-old Zachary Alan Young of Oxford.
An arrest warrant was issued for four counts of Secretly Photographing for Lewd Purposes. Young was taken into custody on September 30 and booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center. A Municipal Court Judge set his bond.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed. Authorities remind the public that such crimes are treated with the utmost seriousness and encourage anyone noticing suspicious activity to immediately contact law enforcement.
