Mississippi Lottery players strike gold with two Match 5 jackpots in four days

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Lottery is celebrating a string of lucky breaks this week as two separate players hit the Mississippi Match 5 jackpot within just four days, splitting more than $146,000 in total prize money.

The most recent win occurred during the Wednesday, Jan. 21, drawing. A player purchased the winning ticket at Love’s Travel Stop #848 in Sandersville, located in Jones County. By matching all five numbers—3-6-18-20-28—the winner secured a $54,000 jackpot.

This win follows closely on the heels of a larger jackpot hit on Sunday, Jan. 18. That winning ticket, worth $92,308.62, was sold at the Circle K Store #2723758 in Moss Point. The winning numbers for the Sunday drawing were 6-23-26-27-33.

Additional Big Wins Across the State

The Match 5 players weren’t the only ones finding luck this week. Lottery officials confirmed a $50,000 Powerball prize was also won during the Jan. 18 drawing. That ticket was purchased at Ramey’s in Columbia.

How to Claim Prizes

Mississippi Lottery officials urge all players to check their tickets immediately. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes.

Security is a top priority for the lottery, which offers the following advice for winners:

  • Sign the back of the ticket immediately to establish ownership.
  • Keep the ticket in a secure, safe location until it can be redeemed.
  • Visit the official Mississippi Lottery website or app to verify winning numbers.

For those looking to try their luck, the Mississippi Match 5 drawings occur daily. Players can find more information on how to play and where to claim prizes at mslottery.com.
