Mississippi Lottery Launches Official Mobile App
JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Lottery Corporation (MLC) announced the launch of its first-ever official mobile application today, Nov. 19, marking a significant milestone in player convenience. The Mississippi Lottery Official app, available now on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, allows players to check tickets, view jackpots, and participate in second-chance drawings directly from their smartphones.
The new app delivers features that players have been requesting, moving essential lottery functions out of the retail environment and into the digital space.
“The launch of our first official app represents an exciting step forward for the Mississippi Lottery,” said MLC President Jeff Hewitt. “Our players have asked for a simple, secure way to check tickets, view jackpots, and find information on the go, and this app delivers exactly that.”
Key Player Features
The convenience app’s main attraction is its Ticket Scanner, which allows users to quickly scan the barcode on their scratch-off and draw game tickets (including Powerball and Mega Millions) to determine if they are winners. This feature is designed to reduce wait times and remove the need to use in-store self-check terminals.
Additionally, the app streamlines the process for 2nd Chance Drawing promotions. Eligible non-winning scratch-off tickets can now be entered directly into these drawings through the app’s interface.
Other features include:
- Current Jackpot & Winning Numbers: Real-time updates on all draw game jackpots and winning results.
- Retailer Finder: A location-based tool to find the nearest authorized lottery retailer.
- Game Details: Comprehensive information on odds and rules for all active scratch-off and draw games.
The MLC stressed that the official app is for convenience only; lottery tickets cannot be purchased through the application. All purchases must still be made at an authorized physical retailer.
The app is available for immediate download by searching “Mississippi Lottery Official” in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
