MBI investigates fatal shooting at Alcorn State University
Lorman, Miss. – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) has been called to probe a shooting incident on the campus of Alcorn State University that left at least one person dead and injured two others.
The incident occurred late Friday afternoon near the Industrial Technology Building. University police responded to reports of shots fired around 6:30 p.m. CDT. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Authorities confirmed that at least one of the victims sustained fatal injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting at this time. The MBI is actively assessing the critical incident, gathering evidence, and working to determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
