Mancuso Chemicals to open first U.S. facility in Mississippi
Aug. 4, 2025 – Mancuso Chemicals Limited, an international chemical manufacturer based in Canada, is establishing operations in Pachuta, Mississippi, marking its first U.S. facility with a $5.52 million investment expected to create 17 new jobs.
The company, which produces high-end industrial chemicals for industries such as metalworking, automotive fluids, oil-based paints, and phenolic resins, currently operates in several countries across North and South America, including Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and its home base of Canada.
The new Mississippi site will initially serve as a logistics distribution center, importing products from the company’s existing facilities in Canada and Peru. However, Mancuso Chemicals has longer-term plans to expand the Pachuta location to include manufacturing operations, with the goal of strengthening service to Southern U.S. clients and expanding into the Mexican market.
The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is supporting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program, while Clarke County and the Village of Pachuta are also contributing local support.
“This is a strategic investment and long-term commitment made easier by the clear support shown by the state and county,” said Antonio Mancuso, president of Mancuso Chemicals. “We are proud to take this step on our 40th anniversary and bring our slogan, ‘Northern Chemistry. Global Reach. Universal Responsibilities,’ to life here in Mississippi.”
Gov. Tate Reeves welcomed the announcement, calling it another sign of the state’s growing economic momentum.
“Mancuso Chemicals has chosen to invest in our state and create new opportunities for the citizens of Clarke County, and that is certainly something to celebrate,” Reeves said. “Mississippi is a top state for doing business, and each new investment shows the world something special is happening here.”
Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork echoed that sentiment, adding, “This project brings jobs, tax revenue, and momentum to a part of the state that’s ready to grow.”
Mancuso Chemicals plans to complete the facility and fill the new positions over the next five years.
Lorenzo Carter, president of the Clarke County Board of Supervisors, expressed gratitude for the company’s investment.
“We are genuinely honored and excited by your decision to invest in the Village of Pachuta,” Carter said. “This is a great day for Clarke County.”
