Absentee voter applications available for November election

Mississippi voters can begin applying for absentee ballots for the Nov. 5 general election.

Applications are available at county clerk’s offices in each Mississippi county. The ballots themselves will be available on Sept. 23. Information about the eligibility to vote absentee can be found at the Secretary of State’s Y’all Vote website or by visiting the County Clerk’s office.

Any voter, absentee or otherwise, must be registered by Oct. 7 for the Nov. 5 general election. All mail-in voter registrations must be postmarked by Oct. 7, as well.
