Heindl appointed to Tate County EDF Board
Northwest Mississippi Community College President, Dr. Michael Heindl, was appointed to the Tate County Economic Development Foundation Board of Directors in January of 2024.
The EDF’s mission is to serve Tate County and help it grow and expand in the best way possible for business and the citizens of Tate County.
“The Tate County EDF is so very happy to welcome Dr. Michael Heindl as a member of our Board,” said Britt Herrin, executive director of Tate County EDF. “Dr. Heindl’s leadership has made NWCC the flagship of community colleges in the state of Mississippi and has led to growth and new facilities on campus in Senatobia. His presence on the board will benefit our Tate County economic development efforts.”
The Tate County EDF’s goal is to boost retention, expansion, and create jobs in Tate County to enhance the quality of life. It helps boost a network for business owners that gives and provides referrals, workshops for businesses, business flyers in the welcome center, counseling, data, newsletters about events, and recruitment programs.
A part of the EDF is the Senatobia Main Street organization, whose goal is to revamp historic Main Street and downtown. They also host events like the Five Star City Festival.
