Williams named Rust College assistant cross country and track coach
HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Rust College has hired veteran coach Charone Williams as assistant men’s and women’s cross country and track & field coach.
Williams brings more than 20 years of experience, including 10 conference championships and a history of developing regional, national, and Olympic Trials qualifiers. A former Auburn University hurdler, his coaching stops include North Florida, Coastal Carolina, SUNY Buffalo, and Florida A&M.
“Charone brings incredible experience and a proven track record,” said Athletic Director Jeremy Patterson. Head coach Damien Brigham added that Williams is “a perfect fit” to help elevate Rust College athletics.
