Vipers sweep weekend series with Hustle
The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (4-0) walked away with a 131-113 victory against the Memphis Hustle (2-3) on Saturday night at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.
During the first half of the game the Vipers led Memphis 69-63. For the second half Memphis attempted to make a comeback, but the Vipers earned a 131-113 win.
Jarrett Culver led the Vipers with a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Darius Days posted 25 points followed by Houston Rockets Two-Way Jermaine Samuels Jr. with 16 points. Houston Rockets two-way Nate Williams Jr. and Jalen Lecque put up 12 points each. Ray Spalding and Trhae Mitchell contributed 11 points.
Memphis Grizzlies assignee Jake LaRavia had 32 points. Memphis Grizzlies two-way GG Jackson II had a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Jason Preston posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring 17 points was Memphis Grizzlies two-way Jacob Gilyard. Timmy Allen put up 11 points.
