Trojans win, Quistors fall in Thursday night football
In Thursday night high school football, Northpoint Christian won its sixth straight game after an 0-2 start with a 42-20 over visiting Okolona at Northpoint.
The Trojans opened with a touchdown in the first quarter but the Chieftains scored twice in the second quarter for a 14-14 tie at halftime.
Northpoint scored 28 points in the second half to pick up the win.
Two more home games are left on the Northpoint schedule, starting Friday, Oct. 17 against Evangelical Christian, followed two weeks later on Friday, Oct. 31 at home against Lausanne Collegiate.

While Northpoint has put together a win streak, Olive Branch has struggled in recent weeks, a struggle that continued Thursday with a 28-21 loss to the Saltillo Tigers at home to open Region 1-6A play.
Tied at 14-14 going into the third quarter, the Tigers broke through with a touchdown in the third quarter and traded scores in the final 12 minutes of the contest.
With the loss, the Conquistadors dropped to 1-5 for the season and 0-1 in region play. Olive Branch has dropped four straight after a 42-21 win against Lewisburg on Sept. 5.
The Quistors play at Grenada Oct. 17 and the following week, Oct. 24 at Center Hill.
