DeSoto Central 9, St. Benedict at Auburndale 0
Note: DeSoto Central scored in four of the five innings played. Londen Armstrong led the offense with three runs scored, two hits and an RBI. Kaylee Tucker also had two hits and drove in a run. Tucker and Colby Young each doubled and Armstrong hit a triple in the victory. Young struck out five in posting the complete-game victory.

Prep baseball
Lausanne Collegiate 7, Lake Cormorant 2
Note: First loss of the season for the Gators. Walker Wixon had three hits, including a double, and an RBI to lead the Gator offense. Derrin Randle pitched six innings, allowed four runs (two earned) and struck out five.
Lewisburg 5, Houston (Germantown, Tenn.) 3
Note: The Patriots opened the game with three runs in the first inning and added solo runs in the third and fifth innings. Sam Richardson drove in four runs for Lewisburg, and he and Easton Fesmire both tripled. Talon Haley struck out 10 in five innings on the mound.
Lewisburg 10, Oak Grove (Hattiesburg) 6
Note: The Patriots broke open a 6-6 tie with four runs in the top of the seventh inning. Gunner Gilmore scored a run, had three hits and two RBIs to lead the Lewisburg offense. Trae Cagle doubled and Easton Fesmire hit a triple for the Patriots. Matt Magee won the game in relief of starter Cayden Baker, despite allowing three earned runs in one inning of work. Baker struck out six, but allowed three runs (two earned) in five innings on the mound.

DeSoto Central 5, Navarre Valley, Fla. 0
Note: Lady Jags scored four runs in the second inning for the victory. Londen Armstrong had two hits and three RBIs to lead the DeSoto Central offense. Armstrong tripled and Mikayla Johnson doubled for the Lady Jags. Colby Young struck out four in 5.2 innings pitching in the circle for DeSoto Central.
Lake Cormorant 9, Noxapater 5 (5 innings)
Note: Lady Gators won the game with four runs in the fifth innings. Brook Irvin led the Lake Cormorant offense with two hits, two RBIs and a triple. Alivia Burns tripled and Raeghan Boswood hit a double in the victory. Alyssa Boswood struck out 11 in the five-inning, complete-game victory.
Lake Cormorant 15, Aberdeen 0 (4 innings)
Note: Lake Cormorant scored eight times in the first inning to open the run-shortened contest. Alyssa Boswood threw a no-hitter from the circle and struck out nine in the circle for the victory. Raeghan Boswood had three hits and an RBi for the Lady Gators and Brook Irvin scored three times, had two hits, including a homer, and also picked up an RBI.

Note: Matthew Roncalli’s single in the 10th scored the winning run for the Rangers.
