Olive Branch Boys, Girls Basketball Sweep Horn Lake

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — Olive Branch basketball delivered a dominant night on Tuesday, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams earning decisive victories over Horn Lake. The Conquistadors boys pulled away in the second half for a 59-39 win, while the Lady Quistors rolled to a 59-17 victory.

Rombaugh said his team is still developing. “We’re very much a work in progress. As the year goes on, I think we’ll get better and better,” he noted.

In the girls’ match up, Olive Branch established control early, leading 29-6 at halftime and extending the margin to 50-15 after three quarters. Thompson highlighted Pimpton’s leadership and unselfish play. “She has a very high IQ, knows how to pick her spots, and shares the ball,” he said.
