Northwest women’s soccer coach James Beattie has added another coaching license to his certification list.

Beattie has officially been granted a Coach Educator Grassroots License from the United States Soccer Federation. The new certification allows Beattie to instruct courses for the USSF, while adding to his previous licenses.

Previously, Beattie has been certified with a “B” license by the USSF and a Director of Coaching diploma from the United Soccer Coaches organization. Additionally, he also has a talent identification license from the Scottish Football Association.

Last season, Beattie and his coaching staff received both MACCC Women’s Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year and Junior College Division II Mid-South Region Coaching Staff of the Year, as named by the United Soccer Coaches.

Currently, Beattie and Northwest are 2-0 on the season with wins against Jefferson College and National Park College. The third-ranked Lady Rangers will resume regular season competition on Friday, September 1 against reigning NJCAA Division III national champion Dallas College-Brookhaven.
