June 28 – With the return of men’s golf on the horizon, as well as the inaugural season of women’s golf, Northwest Mississippi Community College coach Ryan Brickley has announced his schedules for the fall portion of the 2024-25 season.
Both Northwest golf teams are slated to take part in four tournaments apiece, with the women’s team traveling to a pair of events in Alabama. The Rangers and Lady Rangers will both open the season close to home, taking part in the MACCC Fall Preview at Tunica National Golf & Tennis Club from Sept. 15-17.
From there, the men’s team is scheduled to take part in the Copiah-Lincoln Invitational in Brookhaven from Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Meanwhile, the Lady Rangers will compete that same weekend at the Snead State Invitational in Union Grove, Ala.
Both teams reunite for the Meridian Invitational from Oct. 6-8, before the men’s and women’s teams split off one final time to close out the fall. On the men’s side, Northwest will compete in the Hinds Invitational from Oct. 20-22 in Brandon, while the Lady Rangers visit Jasper, Ala. for the Jefferson State Invitational from Oct. 27-29.
Northwest last fielded a men’s golf team during the 2016-17 season, while this will be the first season of competition for the Lady Rangers.
