Northwest clinches playoff spot with 24-7 win over Itawamba

SENATOBIA — No. 4 Northwest Mississippi Community College capped its regular season with a dominant 24-7 comeback victory over Itawamba Community College, securing a share of the MACCC North Division title and clinching the No. 2 seed in the Region 23 playoffs.

The Rangers (8-1, 6-1 MACCC) overcame a sluggish start and a 7-0 deficit, scoring 24 unanswered points behind a resilient defense and timely offensive execution. Northwest will face Copiah-Lincoln Community College on the road next Saturday in the opening round of postseason play.
