Mustang Stampede Invitational cross country results
Lewisburg and Center Hill runners dominated the top six finishes at Saturday morning’s Mustang Stampede Invitational Class 4A-7A girls cross country meet at Center Hill.
Lewisburg junior Kaydi Blanchard won the five-kilometer race in a time of 19:58.08 with sophomore Rylee Blanchard taking second in a time of 20:26.40. Center Hill’s Georgia Shoup was third in a time of 21:03.67.
Shelby Bergman of Lewisburg took fourth, Mary Magers Anderson of Center Hill was fifth and Madi Ross of Lewisburg took sixth place in the girls’ run.
Gabby Blakeslee was the top girls’ runner from Olive Branch. The eighth-grader finished in 14th place in a time of 25:53.51.
Whitehaven, Cleveland Central, and Lafayette of Oxford also had runners in the race.
In the Class 4A-7A boys’ race of five kilometers, Caden Louder of Olive Branch outran Lewisburg’s Jackson Dickerson by about 12 seconds to win the individual championship.
Both juniors, Louder finished with a 16:19.43 clocking, followed by Dickerson’s 16:31.15 finish. Third place went to Olive Branch freshman Preston Mundy at 17:08.75 and Lafayette’s Reed Jordan was fourth in a time of 17:39.60. Senior Grady Booth of Lewisburg took fifth at 18:00.01.
Whitehaven, Center Hill, and Cleveland Central also competed in the boys’ event.
