MHSAA recommends no football tailgating on school grounds after fatal shootings
The Mississippi High School Activities Association is highly recommending that tailgating before football games on school grounds be prevented from happening. The strong recommendation comes after recent shootings at or near homecoming events at Leland, Rolling Fork and Heidelberg left at least eight people dead and several others injured.
MHSAA Executive Director Rickey Neaves issued the recommendations to member schools earlier in the week via the MHSAA podcast on YouTube and the association website.
