MHSAA announces region assignments for 2025-2027

Nov 19, 2024- The Mississippi High School Activities Association Tuesday announced the region assignments of schools for the next two years, starting in the 2025-26 school year.

All eight DeSoto County schools are staying in the same classifications. There are some changes in the make up of the six-team regions, however.

For instance, in Region 1-7A, Oxford has been moved out and Tupelo moves into the region.  The five DeSoto County 7A schools fill out the region as it has for the past two years.

Following are the 7A schools in Region 1 and Region 2 for football, basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball. They are cross-paired for playoffs.

In 6A, Center Hill, Lake Cormorant and Olive Branch remain in Region 1-6A and they are being joined by Grenada, Saltillo, and South Panola. Here’s the listing for Region 1-6A and Region 2-6A.

The complete list is found on the MHSAA website
