Lady Patriots receive championship rings

Members of the Lewisburg High School volleyball team received their MHSAA 7A state championship rings Tuesday night between softball and baseball games with DeSoto Central at Lewisburg.

The Lady Patriots, coached by Amy Hendrichovsky, won its second straight state title, and sixth in school history, with a 3-2 victory over Ocean Springs last October in Clinton. Lewisburg had to rally from 2-0 down to win the final three sets and take home the title. Senior Hallie Wright received MVP honors for the championship match.
