Gilliland named to the Tennessee Sports Writers’ all-state team

Northpoint Christian’s Christian Gilliland was named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Division II-A All-State team. (Bob Bakken/desotocountynews.com)

Northpoint Christian basketball standout Christian Gilliland has been named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Division II-A All-State team.

Gilliland was an offensive juggernaut for the Trojans this past season with his 29 point-per-game average being the best in the Memphis metropolitan area. Gilliland also averaged six rebounds and three assists a contest.  

The junior was also named TSSAA Division II-A West Region District 6 Player of the Year.
