June 6, 2025 – The 67th AutoZone Liberty Bowl Classic will be a Friday afternoon battle on Jan. 2, 2026 this year. Officials with the college football bowl game announced on Thursday the game featuring teams from the SEC and the Big 12 conferences will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Fans can make their plans now to celebrate the New Year and enjoy the extended holiday weekend with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. ESPN will televise the game nationally and ESPN Radio will have the national radio broadcast.
“Our Bowl is a highly-rated national television event and in 2024, the AutoZone Liberty Bowl was the most viewed television event of any kind originating from Memphis,” said Steve Ehrhart, Executive Director of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. “We hope to achieve the same great telecast impact again this year on ESPN.”
