Weekend shooting in Southaven

Southaven police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred over the weekend and injured three people.   

Police say officers on Sunday responded to a residence in the 2900 block of South Cherry Drive regarding a shooting.  

One victim was located at the home who was shot twice and taken by EMS to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto for treatment of his injuries.  

During the investigation, it was learned two other people had gone to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Investigators learned they had also been involved in the incident at the same location. One of the victims was treated at Baptist-DeSoto while the other was taken to Regional One Health. 

No charges have been filed in the case and the investigation is continuing.  Police were asking anyone who had information about what happened to call the police department or email tips@southaven.org.
