Two arrests after interstate chase from Senatobia
A Memphis man and his girlfriend are being held in Tate County on charges after a chase of their vehicle led into DeSoto County before they were stopped on I-55 near Hernando.
Senatobia police officials posted on Facebook Friday they attempted to stop a vehicle for traffic violations at I-55 and East Main Street in Senatobia shortly before 11:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and instead headed north with law enforcement in pursuit on I-55 into DeSoto County, where the driver lost control of the vehicle shortly after stop sticks were deployed. The vehicle was stopped near the Pleasant Hill Road exit in Nesbit near Hernando.
Taken into custody were the driver, Marquavious Moore, age 28, and his girlfriend Dania White, age 23, both of Memphis.
Moore was wanted out of New Orleans for an outstanding Felony Aggravated Assault warrant. He was charged by Senatobia police for Felony Fleeing and Eluding Police, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and four misdemeanor traffic charges.
White was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Senatobia police said the Hernando Police Department and DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the case.
