April 3, 2025 – Tornado watch that includes DeSoto County is in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday evening, per the National Weather Service.

DeSoto County Schools Board of Education meeting scheduled for Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. has been postponed until 10 a.m. Friday.

Senatobia officials say they experienced issues with the early warning siren system during Wednesday night’s storms, and urges residents to have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.

Olive Branch Storm Shelter is open and will be staffed by the Olive Branch Police Department starting at 4 p.m. The shelter location is 9549 Pigeon Roost Road, in a building on the Olive Branch Elementary School campus.

DeSoto Hope has announced that Light Up The Lake has been postponed until April 26.
