Aug. 11, 2025 – Horn Lake police have arrested a 16-year-old who is being charged as an adult in connection with a shooting that wounded an 18-year-old man Monday afternoon.
Police said officers were called to the area of Ashbriar Cove around 12:50 p.m., where they found Tymarius Shorty suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Investigators used statements from the victim and witnesses, along with area surveillance video, to identify the suspect as Montrail D. Williams Jr. Moments after the shooting, officers located Williams and took him into custody without incident.
Williams has been charged with aggravated assault — use of a deadly weapon to produce death or serious bodily harm.
