Suspect arrested on assault, kidnapping charges
Southaven police have a suspect in custody after a Thursday morning incident.
Police received a report of an aggravated domestic assault and kidnapping in the area of Tangle Tree Drive and Tchulahoma Road, near Southaven’s Central Park. The victim was able to escape and notify the police.
Police alerted the public to the increased presence through social media.
Officers, including uniformed patrol, SWAT, and Crisis Negotiations Team members, responded to the area.
Police say the incident ended peacefully when the suspect surrendered to them.
