Members of the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors spent a share of the morning Monday during their regular meeting reviewing voting precinct change proposals by the county’s Election Commissioners.

Each of the five Election Commissioners presented maps and potential voting location changes that have been drawn due to redistricting.

Any changes that are made do not go into effect until next year, starting January 2023.

Registered voters who are moved from one precinct to another, or who will vote at a new polling place, will be notified and sent new registration cards. That will likely be done in December ahead of the January effective date.
