Southaven ready to celebrate Springfest

Mar 12, 2025- The City of Southaven is set to celebrate 45 years as a city next month with its annual birthday celebration Springfest.  This year’s festival will run from April 22-26 at Snowden Grove Park.  

Among the events of Springfest is the annual barbecue cooking contest, which has been a longstanding tradition. This is a dual-sanctioned event with the Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) and Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) involved. More information on the contest is found on the City of Southaven website

On the midway, “Carnival Wristband Nights” are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. Carnival Wristbands are $30 and may be purchased inside the Carnival area for unlimited rides.

Friday and Saturday, Springfest Gate Admission is free before 12 noon on Friday and Saturday. Carnival tickets will be for sale in the Carnival area: $1 each, or 24 tickets for $20.00.

After 12:00 noon, Admission Cost is as follows:

  •  Free – 10 years & under
  •  $10.00 – 11 years & up

Also of note are the new carnival midway hours for this year’s festival. The carnival is open Tuesday-Thursday from 4-9 p.m., Friday 12 noon – 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m-7 p.m.

The BankPlus Amphitheater will kick off its concert season during Springfest with Country’s rising stars, Ian Munsick and special guest Mackenzie Carpenter on Thursday, April 24.
