Southaven Police Investigating Attempted Armed Robbery at Goodman Road Business

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Southaven Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery reported around 10:59 a.m. Sunday at VaporSmart, located at 1060 Goodman Road East.

According to police, a white male suspect entered the business, went behind the counter and assaulted an employee while reportedly armed with a tool believed to be a screwdriver. Authorities said the suspect then attempted to access the cash register, but it does not appear that anything was taken.

The employee ran from the store, but the suspect allegedly chased her outside and pushed her to the ground before fleeing west toward Swinnea Road.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS.
