Snowden Grove Tennis Complex Completes Phase Two Expansion, Adding Eight Courts
The Snowden Grove Tennis Complex in Mississippi has completed its Phase Two expansion, adding eight outdoor courts to bring the total number of courts to 20, according to city officials.
The project, funded entirely through tourism taxes, includes new courts, a pro shop, pavilions, and bathrooms. It follows previous expansions that increased the complex from four to 20 courts.
With the upgrades, the complex now qualifies to host some of the region’s largest tennis tournaments, including multiple professional events. The Mississippi USTA recognized the complex as the best in the state in 2024, city officials said.
City officials highlighted the economic and health benefits of the improvements, noting that tennis promotes lifelong participation and offers social and wellness advantages for residents of all ages. They emphasized that the funding did not impact the city’s general fund but was solely supported by tourism taxes.
