Shots fired at Olive Branch Huey’s

Olive Branch police officials are looking for suspects in a “shots fired” incident at the city’s new Huey’s restaurant on Thursday, Nov. 30.

Police were called shortly before 1 p.m. on a report of shots being fired in the restaurant parking lot.

The Huey’s location is at 8179 McGregor Crossing off Camp Creek Blvd.

According to police, a suspect was found to be breaking into a victim’s truck. The owner of the truck was exiting the restaurant and confronted the suspect.

During an altercation that took place, the suspect stole a weapon from the vehicle, but the owner of the vehicle was able to retrieve the weapon from the suspect during the altercation.

The suspect then fled the scene with three others who began firing towards the victim, but no one was injured.

Police say the suspects being sought are four black males in their late teens. The two vehicles are described as a Black Camaro and Black Charger. They left in the direction of Goodman Road to U.S. Highway 78 toward Memphis.

Police say this is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information that could assist in the case is asked contact the Olive Branch Police Department at 662-892-9400.

Huey’s was closed for the day Thursday as a result of the shooting, but a sign on the front door stated it would be open regular hours on Friday.
