Sheriff Thomas Tuggle spoke at a DeSoto County Business Women’s luncheon, the Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said in a social media post.
The chamber said Tuggle discussed leadership, community impact, mentorship in schools and public safety.
The post said Tuggle emphasized mentoring for young students in local schools and the role community leaders can play in those efforts.
The chamber encouraged women interested in networking and professional growth to visit the DeSoto County Business Women’s group, saying attendees could “grow alongside other professional women” and “make connections in our community,” the post said. The post added, “You will be glad you did!”
