The roadway on Highway 302 near Hacks Cross Road reopened and traffic was flowing in both directions, Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said.
City officials had urged motorists to avoid eastbound Highway 302 approaching Hacks Cross Road because of a motor vehicle accident and had closed the westbound lanes, Adams said.
At the time, Adams said there was no estimated timeframe for when law enforcement crews would be able to reopen the roadway, and he urged motorists to use alternate routes.
Adams thanked motorists for their patience and asked everyone to drive safely.
