SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Renasant Bank celebrated the grand opening of its newly rebuilt Southaven branch at 7500 Airways Blvd. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by bank executives, local employees, and community leaders. The new, modern facility replaces an older building at the same location that officials said had “outlived its” usefulness.
The project, which was more than three years in the making, represents a significant reinvestment in the Southaven community.
“We wore it out… and so we made the decision to tear that building down and develop the facility we have today,” said Sean Clayton, Mid-South Regional President for Renasant Bank. Clayton, a 15-year veteran with the bank, thanked the contractors, Century, for their work.

A key upgrade to the new branch is the introduction of Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs). Clayton explained that the machines allow customers to interact with live tellers via video, providing extended service hours.
“It’s an ATM, or you can go with a live teller,” Clayton said. “Live tellers are either housed in Georgia or they’re housed in Tupelo, but we provide a great level of service.”
Southaven Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Debbie King praised the bank’s long-standing relationship with the city.
“Renasant Bank is not new to Southaven… your team has been sewn into the very fabric of the city for decades,” King said. “It’s a long-term relationship founded on trust, shared growth, and shared history.”
She highlighted the bank’s personal impact, recalling her own experience: “I remember over 20 years ago when Robert Carter helped my husband and mme with our first home here in Southaven.”
Carter, the bank’s Mid-South Retail Branch Administrator, was in attendance along with other staff.
Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to tour the new facility and join a fellowship with refreshments.
