Relief efforts organized for Mississippi tornado victims 

Note: We will post notices of relief efforts from DeSoto County for those impacted by the tornadoes that struck Mississippi on Friday, March 24. Please contact editori@socialnewsms.com if you would like to be included on this list.  

Monday, March 27: Here are some photos from the Sunday collection set up at the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi:

The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi is organizing a supply relief effort. A truck is being parked at the Hernando office to accept donations all week. 

John David Wheeler announced he is heading down with Operation BBQ Relief to help feed victims and first responders. Visit the Operation BBQ Relief website to sign up, volunteer or donate if you can assist.  

The City of Olive Branch and Northpoint Christian School announced collection efforts were underway for tornado victims. Click here to read those details.
